Testimonials

I was at my medical appointment with Dr. Jan Mensik, reviewing issues I thought were simple. When Dr. Mensik completed reviewing all my symptoms he said, “we need to do a few things and we need to act fast, let’s move forward.” In a state of disbelief, for first thing that came to mind was, “I don’t have insurance, all I have is what cash I have in hand.” Dr. Mensik then said, “Well, there is a guy I want you to talk to and a place I want you to go visit.” He suggested CSF Surgery. I had never heard of you guys; CSF was not even in my sight. Dr. Mensik made a call to Dr. Enriquez about my case. Next thing I know, Dr. Enriquez agreed to see me, and on a day that he normally doesn’t see new patients; that caught my attention. I went to my appointment with CSF and they broke it down to where we are at and what we needed to do. I was clear in our plan and what I needed to do with my finances to make this happen. How fast we moved from there on, was dedicated primarily on me and how quickly I could get all my stuff in order. I started researching costs for a colon-resection surgery, I was looking at a minimal of $150,000.00 for that surgery. That was a substantial cost and I would have had to sell off almost everything I own. With CSF, the cost was less than ten percent of that. Nobody believed me, I told my brothers about CSF and their comments were: “There is no way that could possibly be true. I hope you didn’t spend any money because it has to be a scam.” Then my brothers came in and met with you, they came back to me and said, “this is amazing, this is unbelievable.” From then on, the process was rather quick, and my surgery was scheduled. In no time, I was up and around moving and grubbing, setting my mind towards doing great things; with the confidence that everything is going to be just fine. I’m unbelievably pleased with the service I received. The nurses at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital were phenomenal, unbelievable individuality and support to each patient. Now I’m just looking forward to meeting the oncologist and taking the next step. I’m prepared for the battle, and I don’t think I would have been able to if it wasn’t for you guys. I don’t think many people have heard about you, and that is the saddest part of this whole situation. Best choice I ever made was walking through your doors. I think that the best has shown itself, and I can’t emphasize it enough how many people should be walking through your doors because I found people that I didn’t realize still exist: caring, honorable and of true character. A willingness to do something exceptional for your fellow man, that is what I found here at CSF. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it and Dr. Enriquez, I was blessed to meet a very high-quality individual like him. Thank you for all you did, it’s greatly appreciated, and it gave me enough confidence to move forward and prepare for the fight. This was a humbling experience, knowing Dr. Enriquez, CSF and the people that I have met; what a blessing. As someone with no insurance and in need of a surgery, CSF was my solution. The amazing things you guys bring to the table was unheard of. The old proverb, “if it is too good to be true, it must not be true,” doesn’t apply to CSF; it was too good to be true and it was very true, to a degree that you can’t even describe.

  • Mi name is Ana Cruz, the impact of COVID has been very hard for us farm workers, it has affected us a lot, work is very slow. There is almost no work due to this virus, we are a few people that have been given work and we need to take certain measures, like distancing. Not getting close to other people has been really, really hard for us. We are very grateful with CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation for the help that you are giving here. For us it is a big help, it will help us with rent, to pay some of the bills and we thank you. We are really grateful with you for giving us this help.
  • My name is Carlos Alberto Erazo. The negative impact that the Coronavirus has had on my life has been very disastrous, very unfortunate, I have been out of work for approximately four months, the place where I worked sent us home. Also, for fear of infecting my wife, I have been locked up without going out. This situation has prevented me from looking for a job, I don’t have any kind of income, nothing. I want to say thank you very much to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, really thank you very much in the name of God. Because they have helped me. I cannot express the gratitude that I have with you, in the moment that I am in more need, you extended me your hand. Thank you very much, God bless you.
  • My name is Druci Sarai Sanchez Olmos. I’m from the City of Carson, CA. I hear about you on the radio, at the station of "El Terrible." The negative impact that COVID-19 has had in my life have been several, first is the emotional, worry and fear of becoming infected. Especially for my children. The fear of going out. I am the only one that provides financial support in my home. It affected my cheesecake sales; I also babysat a little girl in the mornings. That was what completely destroyed me financially. It’s been now over two months with no work. Since Monday, March 16, I no longer babysit the little girl and I have not had that financial support, that economic income. March 17 was the last time I sold cheesecakes; I have not sold since then. People are afraid to shop on the streets or go outside and it’s very difficult to have cheesecake orders. To continue forward, I asked for food stamps for the children's food and thank God that they did help me. And about the rent, I spoke with the couple where I rent, the two, Blanca and Miguel, and they were very accessible in being able to wait for my situation. I feel super happy of receiving aid from CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, I still do not believe it, I did not imagine receiving the help, I had faith, hope of getting some aid because of my legal status, but thanks to you who offered it to me, I feel very happy, very grateful to God, and with you, really because I couldn’t imagine being able to get help. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, God bless you, with that help you have truly given us peace and tranquility in my home, thank you. I am grateful, it feels like a very strong embrace, like a beautiful comfort that comes from you for the help you offer us. Thank you.
  • My name is Eddy Morales, I’m from Bakersfield, CA. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had in my life is that I lost my job. Someone I know heard about the Relief initiative on the radio and told me to call or come. That’s how I got an application. I used to work in a night club, doing cleaning, like inside a small restaurant, and it closed completely. They told me not to go to work because it’s closed until further notice, because it is not essential. For the moment I am out of a job and without the means to pay bills and expenses. To survive I have had to use my savings and survive little by little while waiting to be called back to work. A lot of people need help, because they are out of work. I thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and the Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, Thank God and thanks to the foundations that have given aid to the farmers and the Latinos. COVID-19 affected us in being out of work, and we are barely able to complete very little, we had to take out of our savings to pay rent and bills that have been accumulating since all this started, we haven’t been able to cover the expenses to cover the receipts. It is with great pleasure that I turn to you and I sincerely thank you on behalf of my small family for the valuable support we have received from CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, sending us a support check to cover the costs of our overdue bills for lack of work in this difficult situation due to the coronavirus that has affected thousands of families including ours, thank you very much.
  • My name is Eva Valdovinos, I am from Arvin, CA. COVID-19 has had several negative impacts on my life, first a lot of stress, depression, fear, fear of everyone, fear of this disease, for my children, for everything, for work. At work everything went down, everything is very slow, we just don't know if we are safe at work or not. Right now, I'm not working, since March I haven’t work. In the meantime, I have gotten food stamps, I have used coupons, self-administered, and I have been looking for help. Thank you all very much and, hoping in God, everything will get better and may God continue to bless you, and may you continue helping more people, I am very grateful.
  • My name is Gemma Gamez. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had on my life has been very difficult and very tough, I think especially for everyone. We are not used to this type of situation, but now more for my family, we are going through difficult times and unfortunately our jobs had to close. At this moment I am out of work, without receiving help of any other kind. Right now, thanks to this foundation that I heard and saw on television, I came here, I submitted my application and thank God that they have supported me, they have helped me at this time. • My name is Heidy Calixto, I’m from Los Angeles, CA. I heard about the economic relief initiative from my brother. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had in my life has been on my work, on my husband’s work, on the rent payments, on the school for the kids. The internet was cut off and with sacrifices I had to pay for it since the kids need it for school, the classes are given via Zoom. My landlord is on top of me, she doesn’t care if I have or not the money to pay the rent, she wants us to pay her. I have been out of work for three months. In order to survive I have been going to my children’s school to pick up the lunches for the kids. For food, my sister or mother in law usually tell me of places giving food away and I will go there to grab some for my family. In Los Angeles I have tried to find organizations that could help me, but I have not found any. I want to thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation because this help that they are giving me is going to help me to cover some of my expenses, pay some of my rent and see if my landlord calms down a little bit and it's a great help, a blessing. Thank you very much for the support you are giving us. We all need a lot of help. At CSF, they are good people who help a lot and who are always available to help us.
  • My name is Hélix Marvin Castro, I come from Lamont, CA. COVID-19 has personally affected me in my work because it has been about two months since they sent me home, they laid me off, but they haven’t called me back again. When that happens, you run out of resources and start struggling to pay for basic necessities, especially rent, which is what you pay the most. Then it impacts the whole family too, the children at school, emotionally, and being confined inside the house is also not easy but the truth is that it has impacted us a lot. More than anything financially, it is the part that obviously impacted us by losing our job. I am very grateful to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, enormously from the bottom of my heart, I have never had an experience like this before, in my life it is the first time that a foundation helps me like this, really, especially in difficult times. • My name is Juan Ramiro Rodríguez, I am from the city of Los Angeles, CA. I heard about you on the radio at Viva Centro 3-1 Mandril Show. What prompted me to call you was my need because I heard that you were helping people who were in need with theirs bills and being frank, with much embarrassment and shame, but with more in need I called. They had already denied help from other places where I applied for aid in Los Angeles and well in the Mandril Show they said that you were really helping and that's why I called. COVID-19 had a negative impact on my life, work decreased, they closed completely at work for the entire season, I had to fall behind with my bills. I was without a job for a month and a half, during that time I could not do anything, the center where I make deliveries was closed. I was at home with fear that we would get infected. My neighbor applied for a program where they give lunches and she enrolled us there, and they do give us lunch, they sent us four bags to our house. I feel blessed by God knowing that I will receive help from you, I feel very happy, at ease. For me it was a great blessing, a great help, thank you very much. Since this started, I had to stay home, it’s been almost two months without work. I would like to thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation for assisting families in need because of the COVID; we need help. • My name is Mario Alvarado, I am from the city of Inglewood, CA. I have called other programs that are giving aid for this situation and nothing, nothing has happened, they do not answer your calls. I heard about you in the Mandrill Show. He mentioned this initiative and I quickly called, to mi surprise someone answered, Abby, who explained the aid they were giving and was very kind, I thought “well this is going to be real. ” I filled out my application and today I’m here to receive the relief check and I thank them with all my heart. COVID-19 negatively affected my life in my work. I work for several people in construction, in particular we do interiors. Due to COVID everyone is at home with the children, and they canceled all the projects. Last month I worked for about eight days and some friends helped me with my rent, but this month I haven't been able to. I have tried to look for work, but people do not want to do anything at home right now, the employers I know are the same. I have not been able to collect for rent, I have my two babies and my wife, who looks after them and does not work. We were doing good for the grace of God, I do not like to ask anyone for anything, I like to work hard for what is mine, but sadly this disease has affected us in everything. I am very grateful to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation because I believe they are where they need to be. I thank them with all my heart for supporting us, they are really helping people, it is something that we all need. May God multiply your help and bless you from now on.
  • My name is Miriam Espinoza, I am from Bakersfield, CA. I heard about you from a friend who told me you were helping people who lost their jobs to pay for their bills and things like that. COVID-19 has negatively changed my life a lot, both teenagers and adults cannot do daily activities, we are locked up at home and work is scarce. We, who work in the fields, lost hours and there were weeks that we didn't really work. It was like three weeks that there was no work and that the situation was uncertain. In order to make the situation a bit better, they were giving us help from the schools with the children's lunches, I also had to take out a loan to pay for my things. I greatly appreciate the kindness of CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation. I appreciate that you are raising money for the people who are really looking for help right now. I tell people that CSF Foundation is real and that they help people.
  • My name is Oscar Evangelista López, I am from the city of Pomona, CA. I heard about you through a link Dr. Sonia Tovar, of the clinic I go to in Pomona, sent me. COVID-19 has had a negative impact on my life starting with the fact that now there are many things that cannot be done, we have to be confined at home. At work they had to send me home because as a restaurant it cannot be open. At my wife’s work they reduced her hours greatly, they continued to work, but very few hours. I really can't do much from home, just take care of the kids and there's no other income. We cannot go outside with the same confidence because of the risk of exposing ourselves with more people, especially because we do not know what may be happening with others. I thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, from my heart, in these moments it is of great help. Right now, we are struggling a lot with the basics and it shouldn't be like that, like the rent and some bills that have been accumulating for me. I thank you for this help because it is going to benefit us a lot and it is going to give us a little more peace of mind, which is what we need right now, a little more security of not exposing the place where we are living and mainly the children safety. Really, thank you very much, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
  • My name is Steven Juarez, the biggest negative impact that COVID-19 had had in my life is that you cannot really go out too much, people must stay at their houses. You cannot be doing too much things because you don’t really want to catch that and bring it home with you. Once one person has it then everybody else can get it. I want to thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation because they are really helping a lot of people, not just me but a lot of people in general. I feel like they are trying to do it for a good cause. I am really thankful.
  • My name is Teresa Lopez, I am from Los Angeles, CA. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had on my life has been that my husband lost his job. He worked in a kitchen and all those who worked in restaurants lost their jobs and they are just barely reopening. We economically depend fully on my husband and he has been out of a job since March 13. Because of COVID we had a little personal problem with our children, the county took them away from us and everything that has to do with courts was delayed, we have not been able to go to court or do anything to get our children back as soon as possible. I really want to thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation with all my heart. May God bless you always, we did not expect this help we are receiving, really, almost no one has helped us, and your help is like a relief, a breath of faith and hope. We no longer knew how we were going to pay our rent. We are very grateful and believe me that we thank you with all our hearts.
  • My name is Victorino Morales, I am from Los Angeles, CA. Due to our legal situation, we were looking for foundations or places where they could give us food and places where they could help us to deal with this pandemic. Some neighbors, who heard from their coworkers about the economic relief program, gave us the application, that's how we found out about this foundation. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had on my life has been quite a lot. This year my family and I had many plans, with the pandemic we were left without our savings, with nothing since this started. We had to spend our savings on food, on rent, on bills, and truly has affected us quite a bit. Where I work since the quarantine began, they sent all of us home. We are more than 25 employees in a dry cleaner, and it affected us all. Sometimes they call us to work once every 15 days, or once every month, but that is it. I haven’t worked since the quarantine began. The help that the two foundations are giving me is well received and has come at an opportune time, I am very surprised, I never thought that I would receive a benefit from this foundation. I am very happy, I do not know, I have no words to express how excited I am to know that this foundation is helping me. To CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation I want to say thank you for helping us right now, as undocumented people we don’t have access to federal benefits from the state. Thank you very much for the foundation you have. May God bless you a lot and may you continue to support more families, more people, who really need it. God bless you.

Round 2

  • My name is Beatriz López. I heard about CSF Surgery at my community clinic when I was told I had a tumor. I didn't know what to do because I didn't have the resources to pay. The staff there said that there was this organization, we got in contact and thank God it was a success because tomorrow I have my surgery, thanks to God and to you who have helped me a lot. CSF Surgery has a foundation, CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation. I received economic support from CSF Foundation to help me a bit during this COVID-19 crisis. I thank the founder of this foundation and all the staff of CSF Surgery and CSF Foundation, because they are a great support for me in these moments of great need caused by COVID-19. At the beginning when different organizations started offering aid to affected people, I was very happy because a field workers foundation was saying that there was going to be a stimulus check for farm workers, like us and it turns out that from the day they put the information out for us to call them and receive the aid until now they have not answered us and I have already lost hope with that foundation. Now I am very happy because this aid that CSF Foundation is giving me is going to help me a lot. The time process from the moment I found out about the existence of the financial relief program that CSF Foundation has until I received the aid took about a week. It has been about a week since I applied, and rapidly I was awarded everything. It is something incredible, something very beautiful from all of you. If I had the opportunity to give a thank you message to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation who have made this possible, I would say that I have no words because it is really very great what they are doing for us. All I can do is pray to God for you, so that God gives you great strength, strength to continue doing this because there is no other way in which I can help more than this, by giving a good testimony to the people who need one of the resources that you give, here you can be helped like they helped me.
  • My name is Carlos Ernesto Mendoza, I am from Bakersfield, CA. I heard about you in the news, on the Telemundo 17.3 newscast. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had on my life has been that I got very sick when I contracted COVID. My wife also got sick and I realized that this virus is very contagious, from one moment to the next people can get it. The symptoms I had were very strong. I stopped working for three weeks until I was discharged. I was afraid to infect my colleagues at work. I called my work to inform them that I felt sick and that I might had COVID symptoms, so they sent me home to rest. When I returned to work, I felt the rejection of the people, many workers knew that I was sick. They have me working alone and somehow this disease apart from harming our health also harms us emotionally. The only thing that I could say to people is to take care of themselves, eat well and take vitamins so if they were to become infected with this virus, for it not to find them with a weak immune system, I think that can help anyone. I am very grateful to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation. When I hear they were giving help, I immediately took note and filled out the application. Thank God and you who are giving me this help. Right now, we are going through a somewhat critical situation and I am very grateful to you.
  • My name is Darinel Mejía, I am from the city of Bakersfield, CA. I heard from you on the news on Telemundo Valle Central. The situation has been very hard for me because of COVID-19. Unfortunately, I was infected by the virus, but thank God I recovered, I am now healthy, and I no longer have it. You see what is happening on the news, you do not expect it to happen to you, but when you already experience it there are moments when you ask, "why me?" It affected my work, they sent me home to rest, I am not receiving a salary, there is nothing. You see reality and, in this country, if you don't work you don't eat. I been almost two months without work, without receiving an income. It was very difficult for me, mainly because of my family, I see that my children are sad. I support my family, I am the one who works, there are moments when you think about the worst, what is going to be of my children, of my family? You feel like your world is collapsing. I want to first thank God that there are organizations like CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation that support the community, not just me, but more people who really need it. It is a great hope for all families. I thank you, your founders and the organizations very much. God willing, let there be more organizations like yours, everything would be different in this world.
  • My name is Gerardo Lares, I am from the city of Bakersfield, CA. I heard about you through Facebook. COVID-19 has greatly affected my family. It is very sad, very bad, very frustrating and desperate, it is something very unpleasant for everyone. It has affected me in my work, I am on disability and without an income. I want to thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, thank you very much. I thank you with all my heart for your help.
  • My name is Humberto Rodríguez, I am from Los Angeles, CA. I heard about you on the radio, on the 103.1 station, on the Mandrill Show. The announcer said that people who had lost their jobs because of COVID-19 should call, that if we were fortunate the organization could pay our rent and past utility bills that we had. I told my daughters about it and we did. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had on my life has been quite a lot. Since March 15, the company where I worked closed completely. Until now, I have not been able to work. At home we are missing things, only one of my daughters is still working, the other is pregnant, and my other daughter is in college, my wife doesn’t work. There is no where I can go to find a job, everything is closed, businesses are just beginning to reopen. I want to thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation very much for what they are doing for my family. I thank you for all that you are doing for those who had been negatively affected by COVID. I thank you very much, infinitely, your work is very important for people who are low-income. I never thought someone would help me, I left it in God's hands, these organizations help the community too much. Thank you very much, may God give you more to help people in need.
  • My name is Josefina de Andrade, I am from Wasco, CA. COVID-19 has had a very strong impact on my life, we never thought this would happen. It has affected a lot to all of us who work. My employers haven't given us work, they don't call us to work, they tell us to wait. It has affected our income, utility bills and well, everything. I want to give many thanks to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation for the help they are giving me. I did not imagine that they would help us, this aid is going to help us a lot to pay the bills that are past due. Sincerely, thank you very much.
  • My name is Julia Rodríguez, I am from North Hills, CA. I heard from you on the radio, on the station La Que Buena. I decided to apply because we haven’t received any kind of aid, I have sought help in other places, but unfortunately there are many places saying that they want to help or that they are giving aid, but when you call them, they never answer the phone. This is the first time someone is calling me to help me. The negative impact COVID-19 has had on my life is that I been out of work for several months, since March. We were quarantined and then we immediately lost our jobs, we lost everything. There is no money for any needs. In the meantime, in order to support myself, I've been obtaining help once a month with the basic food banquet to at least eat. Thank you very much to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation, you have given me hope of being able to pay my late bills; even if is a little bit of the bills that have accumulated in the past months and that are already charging. If I can pay the bills and a little bit of rent, it will be a lot of help. I had lost hope, thank you very much.
  • My name is Lucia Anaya, I am from Lamont, CA. I heard about you through a cousin who told me about this aid and that is why I came to apply for it. COVID-19 has had a great negative impact on my life. Work became very scarce, my work hours stopped, and I have not been working for several months. We do not count with any type of help, and we do not have health insurance. We do not have access to a doctor with whom we can have medical appointments because for everything you need to have insurance. If you don't have an insurance, you don't have access to many things. I am very grateful to CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrel Foundation for this help that they are giving us because we need it a lot.
  • My name is Luis Morales, I am from the city of Santa Ana, CA. I heard about you from the radio program the Mandril Show. The negative impact that COVID-19 has had on my life has been that I lost my job. The company that I work for, they had to cut many hours and some of us were laid-off, there is no turning back from that. I been without a job for two and a half months, I haven’t had any source of income during this time. I am ecstatic to receive financial support from CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrel Foundation because thanks to you, I can continue moving forward. This is going to helps us while I find some work, right now it is very hard, life is hard. Right now, there are many people who are in the same situation as me, I feel fortunate and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help, there are no words to thank entities like you who are dedicated to helping people.
  • My name is Luz Gonzalez, I am from the city of Rosemead, CA. I heard about you on the radio station 97.7 on the Mandril Show. I heard that you were helping people who were in need of resources or who were being affected by the pandemic. I gave myself the task to ask more information and requested the application for the aid with you, since with this pandemic, I lost my job. I stopped working since March 13 and currently I am unemployed. I have three young children. I have a daughter who also lives with me who also has a little boy, he has the cystic fibrosis condition. We must be more careful because his disease is on his lungs, that's why I came to you to see if we could get some aid. The way I have helped myself until now has been through my savings and food-giving programs. I had some savings, but since I have been unemployed for a couple of months and I had to continue paying rent, expenses and food, those savings have been running out. I am truly very grateful that CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation have reviewed my case and selected me to receive the assistance. You really don't know what this help really means to me because we really needed it. I am very grateful and hopefully, just as they helped me, they can and have the funds to continue helping more people in need.
  • My name is Luz Restrepo, I am from Bakersfield, CA. I heard about you on the T.V. on the Telemundo’s channel. Personally, the impact that COVID-19 has had on my life has been very depressing because you isolate yourself a lot from society and family. The economic situation is very difficult and one's health is exposed; it is very uncomfortable to be living in this situation with this virus. For many people who became unemployed there are less possibilities of finding a job. First of all, I thank God and CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation for this beautiful help, this help that you gave for all of us, especially for me. God bless you and help you continue this beautiful work of helping people who do not have financial resources.
  • My name is Marga Saldaña, I am from Bakersfield, CA. I heard about you on Telemundo news. I was working in a hotel and due to COVID-19 first they cut working hours and then we lost our jobs. I have been unemployed since March 26; it has been several months since. I had an accident and had to apply to receive disability benefits, but they give me a minimal amount of help. What CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation are doing is very important for everyone, especially for Latinos who are the poorest or humblest class and who always need resources like this one. We are very grateful with these foundations because truthfully speaking sometimes you cannot belief there are resources and help like this one, I have now seen that it exists. Hopefully they can help more people, continue with their collaboration and with the excellent work they are doing to help more families. They give a little bit of relief to each person, thank you.

  • My name is Maria Padilla, I am from Bakersfield, CA. I found out about you on Facebook, I have you as a friend and I receive the information you put on the CSF Surgery page. I always see what you are doing and the events you have. This is how I applied. COVID-19 affected me a lot in my work. I work in a fast food restaurant, they cut hours and laid off people. I am a single mother and I told my manager that even if he gave me five hours, to distribute the hours among all the employees, because we are all in need. Now I'm only working five hours, I'm behind with my rent, with my electricity and water bills because I can't pay. I have spoken with my landlord for them to wait for me to pay the rent. I am very grateful with CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation for this help they are giving to all of us who were affected by what is happening. I was asking God for you to help me, to qualify for the help. May God bless you and give you more so that you can continue helping people who are in need.

  • My name is Miguel Covarrubias, I am from the city of Torrance, CA. I heard from you on the radio, on the Don Cheto program. The radio personality announced that you were giving aid to people who have been affected by COVID. I wrote down your phone number and dialed. COVID-19 has affected me a lot because I have a back injury and I cannot work; we were getting by with my wife's work. She works cleaning houses and with the coronavirus, well, many people she worked for told her that while the pandemic is happening, she cannot work with them. At the time the pandemic was announced, we were both out of work. I still have my dad, he is elderly and lives in a nursing home, we have not been able to see him since they had to completely close. In this situation that we are going through, any help you provide us with is very good, very great and valuable for us. There is no clear way to thank CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation and The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation for the good they have done us with this financial aid. Thank you very much.

COVID-19 has had a negative impact on my life, in the thirty years I been here I have never been laid-off from my work. It is the first time that they lay us off. I had not worked since March 13, just now, on the second week of June we were told to return. I even started recycling to get a little more money.
