I was at my medical appointment with Dr. Jan Mensik, reviewing issues I thought were simple. When Dr. Mensik completed reviewing all my symptoms he said, “we need to do a few things and we need to act fast, let’s move forward.” In a state of disbelief, for first thing that came to mind was, “I don’t have insurance, all I have is what cash I have in hand.” Dr. Mensik then said, “Well, there is a guy I want you to talk to and a place I want you to go visit.” He suggested CSF Surgery. I had never heard of you guys; CSF was not even in my sight. Dr. Mensik made a call to Dr. Enriquez about my case. Next thing I know, Dr. Enriquez agreed to see me, and on a day that he normally doesn’t see new patients; that caught my attention. I went to my appointment with CSF and they broke it down to where we are at and what we needed to do. I was clear in our plan and what I needed to do with my finances to make this happen. How fast we moved from there on, was dedicated primarily on me and how quickly I could get all my stuff in order. I started researching costs for a colon-resection surgery, I was looking at a minimal of $150,000.00 for that surgery. That was a substantial cost and I would have had to sell off almost everything I own. With CSF, the cost was less than ten percent of that. Nobody believed me, I told my brothers about CSF and their comments were: “There is no way that could possibly be true. I hope you didn’t spend any money because it has to be a scam.” Then my brothers came in and met with you, they came back to me and said, “this is amazing, this is unbelievable.” From then on, the process was rather quick, and my surgery was scheduled. In no time, I was up and around moving and grubbing, setting my mind towards doing great things; with the confidence that everything is going to be just fine. I’m unbelievably pleased with the service I received. The nurses at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital were phenomenal, unbelievable individuality and support to each patient. Now I’m just looking forward to meeting the oncologist and taking the next step. I’m prepared for the battle, and I don’t think I would have been able to if it wasn’t for you guys. I don’t think many people have heard about you, and that is the saddest part of this whole situation. Best choice I ever made was walking through your doors. I think that the best has shown itself, and I can’t emphasize it enough how many people should be walking through your doors because I found people that I didn’t realize still exist: caring, honorable and of true character. A willingness to do something exceptional for your fellow man, that is what I found here at CSF. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it and Dr. Enriquez, I was blessed to meet a very high-quality individual like him. Thank you for all you did, it’s greatly appreciated, and it gave me enough confidence to move forward and prepare for the fight. This was a humbling experience, knowing Dr. Enriquez, CSF and the people that I have met; what a blessing. As someone with no insurance and in need of a surgery, CSF was my solution. The amazing things you guys bring to the table was unheard of. The old proverb, “if it is too good to be true, it must not be true,” doesn’t apply to CSF; it was too good to be true and it was very true, to a degree that you can’t even describe.
